About Us

Born from the devastating California wildfires that destroyed communities around Lake Arrowhead, Arrowhead Survival was conceived by Curtis who witnessed firsthand how unprepared families were for disaster. After meeting his wife Ashley and relocating 2,200 miles to Florida in 2020, they launched their business with just two weeks of preparation, debuting at the North Florida Fair on their first wedding anniversary. What began as a modest booth selling freeze-dried food quickly expanded when their Federal Firearms License arrived symbolically on Valentine's Day 2022, confirming their mission was "built on love." Today, Arrowhead Survival has grown from a passionate idea into a thriving business dedicated to ensuring no family faces unexpected emergencies unprepared.

FROM ASHES TO ARROWHEAD: A STORY OF RESILIENCE

BORN FROM DISASTER, FORGED IN FIRE

Arrowhead Survival wasn't just founded—it was forged in the fires that devastated Southern California communities. Over eight years ago, our founder and CEO Curtis witnessed nature's raw power as wildfires engulfed the mountains surrounding Lake Arrowhead, reducing entire neighborhoods to ashes. As families lost everything they owned and communities struggled to rebuild, a powerful realization struck him: most people simply weren't prepared for disaster.

These weren't just distant tragedies on the evening news—these were Curtis's neighbors and friends, suddenly homeless and dependent on community support for the basics of survival. Following guidance from his religious leaders about preparedness and community resilience, Curtis envisioned a business dedicated to helping families protect themselves against life's unexpected catastrophes. Yet California's political and financial landscape proved inhospitable to his survival-focused vision.

A 2,200-MILE LEAP OF FAITH

Everything changed in Jumu 2019 when Curtis met Ashley, the woman who would become both his wife and his business partner. Together, they made the bold decision to leave California behind, embarking on an epic 2,200-mile journey across the country to Tallahassee, Florida. This wasn't just a change of address—it was the first step toward bringing a long-held dream to life.

In their new home, Curtis found himself increasingly restless in conventional employment, driven by an unshakeable desire to create something meaningful that would benefit both his family and community. The catalyst came in mid-October 2021, just two weeks before their first wedding anniversary, when Curtis discovered the North Florida Fair had no vendors selling freeze-dried food—a staple of emergency preparedness.

FROM TRAILER TO TRIUMPH: 14 DAYS TO LAUNCH

What happened next was nothing short of extraordinary. With just two weeks to transform an idea into reality, Curtis and Ashley sold their car-hauling trailer, poured every resource they had into inventory, and worked around the clock to establish a legal business. Curtis revitalized his old logos and branding, built a website from scratch, connected with local printers, and coordinated emergency shipments of product.

On November 2, 2021—their second wedding anniversary—Curtis and Ashley weren't celebrating with a romantic dinner. Instead, they were manning their booth at the North Florida Fair, introducing the community to emergency preparedness solutions that could one day save lives. What began as a hopeful side venture quickly revealed its potential, exceeding all expectations.

GUIDED BY SIGNS, DRIVEN BY PURPOSE

The universe seemed to affirm their path when their Federal Firearms License arrived precisely on Valentine's Day 2022—a sign that Arrowhead Survival was truly "built on love." Their first gun show in Panama City Beach revealed untapped market potential, and during the drive home, Ashley looked at Curtis and spoke the words that would launch their next chapter: "Open a retail store."

From witnessing devastating California wildfires to establishing a thriving business dedicated to helping others prepare for life's uncertainties, the Arrowhead Survival journey embodies American entrepreneurship at its finest—recognizing a critical need, overcoming obstacles, and creating solutions that strengthen communities.

Today, Arrowhead Survival stands as more than just a business—it's a mission to ensure no family faces disaster unprepared. Every product we offer, every piece of advice we share, stems from our foundational belief that preparation isn't paranoia—it's responsible citizenship and an act of love for those who depend on you.

Because when disaster strikes, the prepared don't just survive. They thrive.
